The Aberdeen Standard Investments Scottish Open returns to the stunning Gullane Golf Club in East Lothian, where in 2015 American star Rickie Fowler lifted the beautiful silver quaich trophy.
The 36th staging of Scotland’s national open will see Fowler return to the scene of his victory in the company of some of the world’s best golfers, including defending champion Rafa Cabrera Bello, five-time Major winner Phil Mickelson, 2018 Masters Tournament winner Patrick Reed, 2016 Open Champion Henrik Stenson and another former Scottish Open champion and Major winner Justin Rose.
It will be a feast of golf for the purists, but it’s also the perfect day out for all the family. With fantastic food and drink outlets in the championship village, an opportunity to learn how to play the game at the Golf Show, and music and retail experiences to keep you entertained, it is the must-attend sporting event of the summer.
To start things off, Tartan Wednesday will be a day of celebrity fun on the fairways where the worlds of sport and entertainment combine for a star-studded pro-am. Celebrities, golfers and fans are encouraged to don their best tartan in aid of the two Official Charities – My Name’5 Doddie Foundation and Leuchie House – before the golfing greats get down to business on Thursday, July 12.
